Information

The event is part of the Bauhaus of the Sea Sails project and organized in collaboration with the Venice Municipality.

Friday, March 28, Ocean Space will take part in the educational activities of Saor a San Sebastiano, a festive day dedicated to Venetian traditions and flavors.

The initiative is part of the European project Bauhaus of the Sea Sails - of which TBA21 is among the consortium members - and is organized in collaboration with the Venice Municipality. The event will feature workshops, tastings, artistic installations, and recreational activities for all ages, exploring themes such as the sustainability of the lagoon ecosystem, the promotion of local products, the transmission of knowledge across generations, and social inclusion.

Starting from 2:30pm, the event will also be open to the public (until capacity is reached), offering the opportunity to visit the San Sebastiano bocce club, discover local producers, and participate in workshops and activities.

Ocean Space will contribute to the event with Pesca in Barena, a project curated by Barena Bianca, aimed at bringing the public closer to the barene (salt marshes), their ecosystem, and the challenges they face. Within a designated garden area, objects and sculptures will be placed, ready to be "fished" using rods and hooks. Through a playful and creative approach, participants are invited to engage in discussions about the barene and develop a relationship of exchange (taking and giving) with nature.
