Event reserved for teachers, educators of all levels in schools from all over Italy
The last online training meeting of the 2024/2025 school year of Ocean Schools invites teachers of all levels, educators, and cultural mediators to learn about the educational proposal aimed at students.
Speakers include Valeria Bottalico, educational activities manager of Ocean Space and Marta Picciulin, CNR-ISMAR researcher.
During the meeting, the interdisciplinary courses proposed for the 2024/2025 school year designed for students of all level will be presented.
In fact, after the first phase dedicated to teachers, the program directly involves students with moments of exploration, understanding, research, and reflection, along with proposals for workshops to be carried out independently directly at school, in their own classes, aimed at encouraging critical and divergent thinking, and inspiring conscious action in favor of the environment.
This year, students aged between 3 and 19, divided into different school grades, will explore an interdisciplinary course dedicated to the pressing theme of biodiversity and the environmental variety present in our national territory.
program
- 4 – 4:30pm | “Biodiversity. Natural textures”: aimed at kindergarten teachers.
- 4:30 – 5pm | “Biodiversity. Eco-signs”: aimed at elementary school teachers.
- 5 – 5:30pm | “Biodiversity. Natural di-signs”: aimed at middle school teachers.
- 5:30 – 6pm | “Biodiversity. In the sign of diversity”: aimed at high school teachers.
Teachers are asked to identify their time slot of interest and connect at least 5 minutes before the indicated time. Each presentation is dedicated to a particular school grade and will last 30 minutes including questions.
The educational program proposed for the 2024/2025 school year is implemented within the framework of the Biodiversity Gateway (BG) promoted by the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC), the national center financed by NextGenerationEU funds, coordinated by the National Research Council, with the aim of studying and preserving ecosystems and biodiversity.
With the Biodiversity Gateway, the "Ocean Schools" program is aimed at teaching staff and students from all over Italy and intends to expand the training offer for effective environmental education.
