Join us at Ocean Space for an opportunity to engage in a free workshop and a public sharing led by the artist & choreographer Isabel Lewis and her students from the Fine Art Academy in Leipzig.
We welcome adult participants of all ages to a free workshop that explores the materialities of the constructed and conditioned zones of the body and the venetian urban space.
Participants will have the opportunity to join a four hours workshop on Friday, October 11 and a public sharing of the results of the workshop on Saturday, October 12 conducted by Isabel Lewis and her students.
Who and what we are looking for
Adults with an interest in body-based movement practice, architecture and sociality in urban space are invited to participate in a free workshop and join a group performance together with Isabel Lewis and the Klasse für Performative Künste and Friends at the Fine Art Academy in Leipzig where Lewis is currently a professor.
Prior experience in dance or performance is NOT a prerequisite for participation.
We do wish for adults of all ages who are socially engaged, focused, and open to moving together, experimentation and improvisation
The time commitment is as follows:
- Friday, October 11 | 2 - 6pm - Workshop (4 hours)
- Saturday, October 12 | 1 - 3pm - Workshop continuation, 5 - 6pm - Public sharing (4 hours total)
Candidates aged 40 and over are strongly encouraged to participate.
