As part of the Kid Pass Days, Ocean Space is offering an in-person workshop inspired by the new exhibition cycle The Soul Expanding Ocean # 3 and # 4 by Dineo Seshee Bopape and Diana Policarpo, curated by Chuz Martinez, in which boys and girls will be guided through the creation of an animated seabed.
How exactly? By using multiple sheets of cardboard in various shades of blue, scissors, and pencils. How deep is the ocean? Each level, from the surface to the abyss, is characterized by its own specific inhabitants and specific colors. How do they move under water? What do they feed on and how do they behave?
For children aged 6 to 10. Participation is free but places are limited, please book by email to education@ocean-space.org.
