As part of the public program "Convivial Tables: a Diet for Resistance" curated by Barena Bianca, a solar oven construction workshop will be organized on Saturday, September 14, for workshop participants and a group of ten people selected through an open call.
The workshop, lasting about 3 hours starting at 11am, will provide techniques for constructing a solar oven that can be easily reproduced at home, guided by Alessandro Varesano, a founding member of the Italian Solar Cooking Association. Some of the ovens built for the demonstration will be used during the final event of Tavole Conviviali on Saturday, September 28, at Ocean Space. The remaining ovens will be donated to local organizations that focus on food and environmental protection.
Participation is free and does not require equipment.
The first ten people who apply will be selected. To submit your application, send an email to collettivobarenabianca@gmail.com with the subject “open call forni solari” indicating your name and surname.
The open call will close once ten participants are reached, and a confirmation email will be sent to them.
