"POSIDONIA" is a sound piece conceived by the artist Renato Leotta and the musicians Davide and Nello Toscano. The audio track was composed by translating the anatomical structure of the leaves of the posidonia oceanica (an aquatic plant) into a sequence of notes.
The sound installation, proposed by fellow Pietro Scammacca as part of a special initiative by the Ocean Fellowship conceived by TBA21–Academy, is an invitation to perceive the Mediterranean sea through its endemism.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
On Sunday November 1 from 3pm to 6pm, Ocean Space will welcome the sound installation “POSIDONIA”. Access to the space and visits to the Territorial Agency: Oceans in Transformation exhibition will remain unchanged for the entire duration of the performance.
Please note that masks covering your mouth and nose are mandatory throughout the premises of Ocean Space. Temperature checks will be performed at the door for your safety.
