"Ripples" is the second event in the "Thinking Like the Ocean" series, part of the educational program "Ocean Families."

Ripples, flickers, rolls and waves stretching out into infinity. How many ways does the sea have to move, dance, breathe?

In this session, children, guided by performer Marina Donatone and psychomotricist and educator Deborah Camozzi, will explore the magic of the Ocean’s movements through their bodies, light materials such as fabrics and paper, and small play tools like cones, hoops, and discs.

They will become floating bodies moved by the wind on the surface or let themselves be rocked like seaweed among the waves, draw deep whirlpools, or transform into air bubbles ready to pop in an instant.

A creative and sensory experience to listen to the rhythm of the sea and discover, through body and imagination, all its infinite dynamic possibilities.

Biographies

Marina Donatone (Rome, 1993) is a choreographer and dancer. In her work, she seeks a body in becoming—one that engages with the choreographic system as active matter, both shaping and being shaped by the relationships it enters, while carrying its own irreducible composition. Her work has been supported by institutions such as Mattatoio di Roma, Lavanderia a Vapore, Santarcangelo Festival, Teatro India - Teatro di Roma, Short Theatre, Sín Arts Culture Centre in Budapest, Operaestate, and C.U.R.A. Centro Residenze Umbre.

Deborah Camozzi (Ravenna, 1995) collaborates with Rugby Tots Venezia, a project offering psychomotor courses with an oval ball for children aged 2 to 7. These play-based programs provide a well-rounded developmental path, fostering physical, motor, and social skills. Rugby serves as a positive vehicle for values such as teamwork, collaboration, inclusion, loyalty, and sharing—fundamental lessons for the growth and psychosocial development of young children.
