A reflection on the ability of design to inspire consciences and guide habits. JoeVelluto Studio retraces twenty years of professional life with a selection of projects, including unpublished ones, an example of a meaningful design that has the ambitious intention of guiding the mindset of those who observe and perform actions every day, through a path of eight practices which originate from the hybridization between a concrete design reality and the Noble Buddhist Eightfold Path.
Responsibility, social perspective, sustainability, economy and circular design, respect for the environment and for every existing form - are some of the issues addressed as a consequence of virtuous behavior. During the talk the philosophy of the exhibition will be presented and we will talk about design and art as actions of change in society.
Introduction by Markus Reymann, Director of TBA21−Academy, Ocean Space. Presentations by Leonardo Caffo, philosopher, curator of the exhibition “Design in Practice”, Cristiano Seganfreddo, Director of Flash Art and JoeVelluto Studio - Andrea Maragno and Sonia Tasca.
